I invade, you invade, he INVADES!

So nice to meet here again, where we invade and allow ourselves to be invaded. For the pleasure of taking care of, getting to know, and enjoying this excellent tourist and cultural offer that is the Historic Route of the Lines of Torres Vedras.

A project that always invites us to surpass ourselves in terms of knowledge and approaches. It goes beyond the historic dimension, projecting us into the future through critical thinking about the present. A project that educates and stimulates. For peace and co-operation.

At a time when the present brings us face to face with invasions of various kinds, it is necessary to educate, to encourage reflection and reasoning. Respect the other person's space, respecting ourselves.

It is with this in mind that investment in pedagogical resources and dynamics has been a priority, establishing synergies with various structures - such as the School Library Network - in a project that catalyses the pedagogical exploration of the most recent resources of the Historic Route of the Lines of Torres Vedras, based on the book 'Jean, John e João'. Strategies and Adventures of the Lines of Torres Vedras.

Knowing history, observing the present and the community in which we live, in its material and immaterial dimensions, recognising them, is an important step towards effective heritage education, in a transdisciplinary logic. That's why art is not far from our sights, and we also encourage artistic creation through the INVADE! Awards.

The New Invasions Festival has brought us a little of all this, offering leisure and knowledge, in a way that values initiatives that cross popular culture with contemporary artistic and creative expression practices.

We invite you to take a look at the Wine and Vineyard Museum - Bucelas, an important element in local culture and history, and find out more about 'Wellington and the Lines of Torres Vedras: the defence of Portugal during the Peninsular War, 1807-1814', in a stimulating conversation with its author, Mark Thompson.

In the meantime, don't miss it! Knowledge. Know-how. Wisdom. Heritage. Memory. Time.

Don't waste time and go now to invademag.pt, the place where our INVADE Magazine gains time, space and opportunities. It's our most complete online magazine for you.
Let yourself be invaded and invade us in this transforming, plural and international force that is the Historic Route of the Lines of Torres Vedras.
