Casa da Nossa Senhora da Paciência

You go in to discover a legacy; you stay to experience it.

High above Bucelas, overlooking the Trancão valley, Casa da Nossa Senhora da Paciência has a long and peaceful history, closely linked to the Camillo Alves family and its most illustrious representative, João Camillo Alves. Since the late 19th century, this manor house — with its central courtyard, chapel and rustic fence — has been a living memory of a decisive era in the culture of wine and vineyards in the region.

The project is the result of careful restoration: the original architecture has been recovered, traditional techniques and materials have been respected, and the complex has been refurbished with discreet contemporary interventions, in balance with the old. Wine utensils, furniture and historic bottles help to tell the story, without turning the space into a museum.

More than just a place, the House is an environment: old halls, a wine press, a chapel (with documented roots in the 16th century), a garden, an orchard and a whitewashed dovecote create a welcoming, country atmosphere. Equipped to host private and corporate events — from dinners and wine tastings to weddings, meetings or team gatherings — it maintains a friendly family atmosphere and a strong identity.

Here, hospitality is a continuation of history. You enter to discover a legacy; you stay to experience it.
